American Honors is an honors program that works with a number of community colleges throughout the United States. Academically accomplished students from around the world who choose to attend a community college prior to a four year university often take advantage of American Honors.

American Honors is now offering 100 $4,000 scholarships to high school students who are graduating this Spring. Students must have a competitive GPA, an English language proficiency score and be accepted into the Fall American Honors program.

To be considered, students must complete an American Honors application along with an essay stating why they have a need for the American Honors international scholarship.

Winners of this scholarship will receive the funds in equal increments over the term of their studies, as long as they remain enrolled in the American Honors program and maintain a high academic standing. The scholarship can be used toward tuition and other educational fees.

Could you use $20,000 for school? Most students can! The good news is you have a shot to win $20,000 since the GotScholarship 20K Give Away is back. International students pursuing any field of study are able to apply for this award before June 30th to be entered to win.

Since applicants of this scholarship do not need to submit their GPA, an essay or pay a fee to enter, students can simply register, then apply. This scholarship is also transferable.

The winner of the GotScholarship 20K Give Away can use the funds on tuition, fees, books, supplies and other educational equipment.

This is the fifth GotScholarship sponsored by GotChosen. GotChosen is “an innovative startup in multimedia technology, advertising, and business development headquartered in Orlando, Florida.” They have a focus on ensuring that you have control over the content you see.

The Gaeilge Scholarship for Irish Students

If you’re an Irish citizen and want to study at the Adelaide Institute of Business and Technology (AIBT) as an international student, you have a chance to win a scholarship up to $7,000. Adelaide Institute of Business and Technology is located in Australia and has three programs available to their students: management, business and marketing. Each of these courses also include free classes in other subjects to assist students who want to continue their education.

The Gaeilge Scholarship for international students from Ireland will cover 50% of the total student fees at AIBT. Applicants must be eligible for a student visa through the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection and meet the AIBT entry requirements. To remain eligible for this scholarship students must meet academic and attendance performance targets.

Annie Jump Cannon Award in Astronomy

Many professional astronomers in North America are members of the American Astronomical Society (AAS). The mission of the American Astronomical Society is to enhance and share humanity’s scientific understanding of the universe.

Those interested in Astronomy now have the opportunity to receive a $1500 award through AAS with the Annie Jump Cannon Award in Astronomy. This award is open to female North American astrologers to apply for. It will be granted to one individual within five years of receiving her PhD in the year designated for the award.

The recipient of the Annie Jump Cannon Award in Astronomy will also receive an invitation to speak at an AAS meeting, with travel expenses paid. Self-nominations for this award are allowed.

Passion for Fashion Scholarship

Passion for Fashion Scholarship

The Art Institute is once again hosting their Passion for Fashion Scholarship competition. This scholarship can be entered through one of two categories: fashion design or fashion marketing & merchandising and retail management. If you have a love of fashion, make sure you apply for this scholarship to show your original ideas related to fashion.

Each category will have multiple winners on the local level and one on a national level. Local winners will receive a $3,000 tuition scholarship while the national first place winner will receive a $5,000 tuition scholarship and a trip to New York, NY.

Students must plan on attending the Art Institute and submit the necessary items for their category of entry before the deadline. The competition is open to legal residents within the US, Puerto Rico and Canada. Students must have a 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and submit a transcript reflecting this GPA with a postmark on or before February 6th.

AAUW International Fellowship

Since 1917 AAUW has awarded more than 3,300 women around the world funding through an international fellowship. The AAUW International Fellowship grants funds to women who are full-time students and scholars who are not US citizens or residents.

The following will be awarded to its respective fellowship:

  • Master’s/First Professional Degree Fellowship: $18,000
  • Doctoral Fellowship: $20,000
  • Postdoctoral Fellowship: $30,000

Recipients of this award are chosen based upon academic achievement and commitment to women and girls. Women interested in an AAUW International Fellowship will need to submit the following to apply:

  • The application form
  • Filing fee of $30
  • Official transcripts
  • Proof of bachelor’s degree
  • Proof of doctorate degree
  • Official report of TOEFL test scores or request for waiver
  • Letter of admission
  • Acknowledgement postcard

University of Wisconsin-Stout International Student Scholarship

Fifteen international students who are admitted to the University of Wisconsin-Stout have the opportunity to receive a $5,000 scholarship to use toward tuition fees. Degree-seeking international students can be from any country around the world, pursuing any area of study offered at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

The University of Wisconsin-Stout international student scholarship is awarded based upon academic achievement, community service and the availability of funding. To be eligible, students must be enrolled on a full-time basis, have an average GPA of 2.5 (undergraduate students) or 3.0 (graduate students), have a minimum TOEFL score of 70 and an overall IELTS score of at least a 6.0. Students must apply for this award by July 1, however, it is renewable for up to four years- provided that the international student is still eligible.

The University of Wisconsin-Stout is a career-focused, polytechnic university located in Menomonie, Wisconsin that takes pride in hosting an innovative and technology-rich atmosphere.

JDRF Career Development Award

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is host to a number of scholarships, including the career development award. This award is designed to assist those who are newly pursuing their career path with funding to perform diabetes- related research.

This gives qualified scientists the chance to not only perform industry research but to also establish themselves within areas that reflect the JDRF research emphasis areas.

There is not a citizenship requirement for this award and research can be conducted at foreign or domestic locations, so individuals around the globe are able to apply.

Additionally, applicants must have an academic, faculty-level position at the time of application. To apply students must submit a proposal which includes the following:

  • Research Plan
  • Future Career Plan Statement
  • Recommendation References
  • Institutional Assurance

The JDRF career development award is granted in the amount of $150,000 for up to 5 years. At the end of each year of funding, awardees must provide a progress report.
