The 2016 Travel Video Contest Winners Announced

The 2016 Travel Video Contest winners have been announced! If you’ve been following this contest, then you might already that this has been their biggest year yet- with 159 video entries from around the globe. Two weeks ago the International Student Team announced the top 15 finalists, including the $1,000 Viewers’ Choice winner. On November 18th, just in time for international education week, they announced the final winners of the 2016 contest. If you missed their announcement, check out who won:

The 2016 Travel Video Contest Finalists Announced

Each year hosts a Travel Video Contest where students from around the world have the chance to win $4,000. To enter this contest when it first opened in September, students submitted a short video sharing a proposed study abroad trip, or, students who are already studying abroad shared a proposed trip they would like to take. To give you an update on this contest, it’s now in its final stages as the finalists have been announced along with the Viewers’ Choice winner!

This was their biggest year yet with 159 inspiring entries. Of these 159 entries, the staff had the difficult task of narrowing down the list to only a few top finalists. Fourteen finalists were selected to progress into the next round, these videos along with the Viewers’ Choice winner means 15 videos are still in the running for the $4,000 grand prize or one of the other runner-up prizes.

The Viewers’ Choice award went to Carlos Roberto González Meyer for his video A Couple of MBA´s. Watch this video and see why it won the votes of numerous visitors on
